Unveiling of the GARO Twin wallbox at eCarExpo in Stockholm

GARO continues expanding internationally and establishes operations in Spain

GARO is establishing a sales company in Spain in the GARO E-mobility business area. Today, GARO operates in seven countries in Europe. The latest establishment took place during the autumn of 2023 in Germany. The establishment is a natural step in GARO’s growth strategy that prioritizes the development of GARO’s European operations.

GARO Entity Compact wallbox for homes certified compliant with international charging standard

The GARO Entity Compact wallbox, primarily intended for the home market, has been third-party tested and certified as compliant with the international charging standard* by TÜV SÜD in Germany. “Together with GARO Entity Pro, which is intended for public and semi-public charging, these wallboxes are the only ones in the Nordic region to meet this standard. Here at GARO, we take responsibility for ensuring that our wallboxes always offer the greatest possible safety,” says Niklas Rönnäng, Business Area Manager GARO E-mobility.

Swedish electrical standard for wallboxes and charging stations

In the spring of 2023, Svensk Elstandard released information about installation rules: SEK Handbook 444. This handbook includes some important details that you, as a reseller and installer of wallboxes and charging stations, should know about, such as those concerning the choice of residual current device (RCD). With the GARO charging stations and wallboxes in the GARO Entity series, you need not choose an RCD as each of these products is already equipped with one. A new regulatory framework for a more sustainable vehicle fleet came into force on 13 April

In the summer of 2023, the EU took a major step towards a greener and more sustainable future when the European Council adopted the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR). This agreement marks an important milestone in efforts to transition the transport sector and accelerate charging infrastructure expansion across Europe.

Climate premium for light and heavy electric vehicles

As of February 13, 2024, a new support scheme is available for light electric trucks. There has also been a special effort where small businesses can now receive increased support when purchasing emission-free heavy trucks. The purpose of the supports is to accelerate the electrification of Sweden's vehicle fleet and contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

GARO have entered Nordic partnership with Aneo

As of January 2024, GARO has entered a partnership agreement with the Norwegian energy company Aneo to jointly offer future-proof and cost-effective electric vehicle charging in Sweden and Norway. Aneo, with its roots in Norway, has proven successful within renewable energy production and has even established itself as a leading supplier of electric vehicle charging for apartment buildings and commercial properties. Aneo is currently responsible for more than 90,000 parking spaces with electric vehicle charging.
