Eichrecht-compliant charging stations

GARO’s LS4 and Twin+ charging stations are now compliant with the Eichrecht standard, which means they are available for sale in the German market for public charging.

What does Eichrecht entail?

In the German market, public charging stations must meet the requirements of the Eichrecht regulations, which provide the possibility to debit users for their energy consumption. The requirements of the Eichrecht regulations include, among other things, that a compliant charging station shall have a visible energy meter enabling the user to see their exact energy consumption and that each charging point is calibrated, sealed and tested as per the applicable requirements.

Our LS4 and Twin+ products can be supplied with the components necessary to meet the technical and documentation requirements, as well as to gain the necessary third-party test approval, for use in the German market within public charging with a payment solution.

LS4

The GARO LS4 is an effective charging station for public environments, large car parks and workplaces. It can charge all types of electric and hybrid vehicles effectively and is easily connected to providers’ cloud services and payment systems. The LS4 is available with full custom vinyl wrapping based on your own graphic design. The GARO LS4 is available with an output of up to 22 kW and has two Type 2 outlets in an illuminated recess, protected from weather and wind. Each outlet has its own separate energy meter, RFID reader, fuse and residual current device.

Twin+

Just like the LS4, the Twin+ is an outstanding charging station for different types of public environments and workplaces. The GARO Twin wallbox enables you to charge two vehicles at the same time simply, safely and effectively – and without overloading the property’s other fuses. In compliance with Swedish electrical installation regulations, the wallbox is equipped with DC fault protection and a Type A residual current device, ensuring a cost-effective and safe installation. This charging station is OCPP-compliant, which means that it can be used with any provider. This wallbox can be installed both indoors and out and has a robust design able to withstand harsh environments.
