It can either be a session cookie that disappears when browsers are shut down or a storage cookie that is stored for an extended period of time. Cookies and similar technologies are used when you interact with our websites. We do this so that those who visit our websites or use our apps can use their devices optimally and exactly as intended. For example, it may concern saving language choices or other preferences to make it easier for you on return visits.
The use of cookies also allows us to customize and improve our web pages and applications by looking at how you and other visitors use them. Good to know is that the information collected through cookies does not contain personal data but is only used to determine visitors' patterns regarding the use of our web services. When it comes to behaviour on the web platforms and applications, IP addresses are not saved in our databases either. Therefore, information about you can never be linked to your identity.
Web platforms and applications also have cookies for calculating and reporting the number of users and traffic. We also use so-called third-party cookies from other companies to conduct market research and measure traffic. You can use your browser settings to delete any cookies as well as to prevent us from storing any cookies on your device. If you choose to do this, however, a number of functions on the web platforms and applications may not work properly. The legal basis for our processing of data is your consent.
