Surge protection

GARO’s surge protectors are designed to protect installations and equipment against surges that occur e.g. during a thunderstorm. The combined coarse, medium and fine protection BSR should be chosen if any of the following are true: - If the incoming line to the home is a rural overhead line - If lightning rod is installed on the building - On incoming lines to industry In terrestrial grids in urban areas, surge arrestors of the type GPT are usually adequate protection in front of a detached house. Sensitive electronics such as computers, PLC or control cabinets should be supplemented with equipment protection and, if necessary, telecom protection.
